All Jiangsu Government Scholarship beneficiaries:

The Jiangsu Government Scholarship Annual Review refers to the comprehensive review of students who enjoy Jiangsu Government Scholarship and apply for resuming Jiangsu Government Scholarship to study in our university once a year to determine whether they are qualified to continue to enjoy or resume the scholarship.

1. Review Targets: All Jiangsu Government Scholarship sponsored students who are scheduled to continue study in Jiangsu University in the current academic year (including TSP program)

2. The contents of the annual review are as follows:

(1) Academic performance, including the examination results of all subjects in past academic year

(2) Learning attitude and attendance

(3) Behaviors, awards and punishments

(4) Participation in activities, including culture and academic exchanges, sports competitions, voluntary service and other activities on and off campus

(5) Postgraduate students’ research work, including publications and academic conference attendance

(6) Comments from academic supervisor or class teacher.

3. The person who is under any of the following cases shall be suspended from the scholarship for a period of one year:

(1) Undergraduate students who have failed 3 or more examinations

(2) Postgraduate students who have failed 2 or more courses; those who fail to pass the dissertation proposal defense; and those who fail to complete the required credits for the degree within specified time

(3) Those who fail to follow class timetable and show no improvement after persuasion, or are absent from classes for more than 1/3 of the total class hours

(4) Those who violate the laws and regulations of China and are warned or punished by the law enforcement departments

(5) Those who violate the provisions of the Regulations of Overseas Students’ Disciplines of Violating Rules in Jiangsu University and have been punished with demerit

(6) Those who have been suspended from enjoying scholarships will be suspended from the September of 2019. Those who have been suspended from enjoying scholarships may apply to stay at their own expense to continue their studies. After suspension of the scholarship, the student can participate in the annual review of the scholarship of next year. Once the student passes the evaluation, scholarships may be resumed from the next academic year.

4. The scholarship qualification shall be revoked if any of the following circumstances occurs. If the scholarship qualification is cancelled, the living expenses of the scholarship shall be suspended from the date of announcement, and their eligibility for the scholarship shall not be restored.

(1) Being ordered to drop out of university or to be expelled from university

(2) Fail to pass the annual review twice during the period of study

(3) Fail to participate in the annual review without acceptable reasons

5. All scholarship students are required to submit annualreview form(duplex) and academic transcript to OEC-210 before September 5, 2019. Page 1 of the review form is to be filled by student and the first part of Page 2 is to be filled and signed by supervisor of postgraduate students or class teacher of undergraduate students.
