Students' Testimonies:
1.“Psychological counseling does not provide instant resolution to my problem but it has allowed me to think more deeply; understand and manage my emotions better. The gradual improvement I experienced has relieved my health problem; given me stability and more happiness." -a male MBBS student
2. "Lately, I discovered that I have a problem of being suspicious. I was afraid that my close friends would harm me. Then one day, I decided to go and see the OEC Counselor. After all, it is free and I won’t lose anything by going. Initially, I didn’t know what to talk about but soon I started speaking my mind and about how I felt about everything and everyone and more. I felt relieved because I was talking to someone who won’t criticize me and won’t judge me. She listened to what I had to say and it helped me to express myself genuinely and honestly. After several sessions, I started to see improvements. Since my first session, I have experienced many positive changes.
I just want to add that seeing a counselor does not mean that you are ill, it just means that you have the courage to face your problem and get professional help to resolve it. " - a female student
